Douglas Park ListServ Rules

1. Content should be focused on our Douglas Park neighborhood or greater Arlington County. If you share or forward something to the listserv, you must include a short personal note explaining why you think it’s relevant or useful for our neighbors. Posts should reflect your own perspective and connection to our Douglas Park community.

2. Listserv posters must include their first names and street of residence in their posts or profile. The listserv is meant for Douglas Park residents, and non-residents will be removed from the listserv.

3. Respect the privacy of others. Posting private or personal correspondence is not allowed with the exception of replies sent to you off-list from government officials, elected representatives, and candidates for public office.

4. Current advertisers in the Douglas Park Neighbor News newsletter are permitted to post information about their business as an advertisement once per year. One time pop-up events like a garage sale or lemonade stand are exempted from this restriction.

5. For selling items or giving items away for free (including curb alerts), posters can post up to one post per day.

6. No political posts about candidates or political parties. Non-partisan encouragement of voting, registering for voting, or voting timelines is permitted.

7. No fake or impostor profiles or spam content.

8. No hate speech, credible threats or direct attacks on an individual or group.

9. No content that contains self-harm or excessive violence.

10. No nudity or other sexually suggestive content.
